How do you "Surf" the Internet

Hello everyone! My Internet Communications class had a guest speaker named Matthew Marco. The lecture was about Navigation. Matthew says that Navigation is how people move page to page on the Internet. By using the links, labels and other elements on a website it provides the users with access to your website. When i first heard him say this it reminded me of the phrase "Surfing the Internet". So i asked myself, "how does one surf the web?" and the more Matthew continued his lecture about navigation the more it came clear that surfing the internet is just a cool and hip technological term for navigating the internet. This is very important if you want others to see your skill of Snowboarding and to attract potential sponsors. You want the users of your website to be engaged with the information you are providing to them. With the right Navigation elements your website can operate efficiently for promoting yourself to a company. When someone visit your site you have to keep them interested or they will click off of your website. the easier it is to navigate your website the more people stay "surfing" your website. the users are navigating through your information and data and you want to promote and influence their decisions. You want the navigation of your website to be user friendly so the users do not feel lost or overwhelmed with information but able to navigate or "surf" through your website. Having a user friendly website gains the most positive reviews and people will remember and refer your name.

Have a good day, and keep shreading!

Have a good day,

CGC
